Victorian Renovation
Designed and built by Sacred Oak Homes, this 1892 home underwent an extensive structural and cosmetic renovation. We remediated the asbestos and radon gas, fixed the wet basement and structural issues, replaced outdated electrical and plumbing systems, and cleared the lot of invasive trees and weeds. Then we crafted a home to fit the unique needs, styles, and interests of the client.
The main house received a complete kitchen renovation, three new full-size bathrooms, a relocated staircase, and new finishes throughout. The unfinished attic was transformed into a spacious and light-filled studio for yoga, dance, and music. We added two opposing dormers to the rear attic, creating an office and bathroom. In the front attic space, we raised the framing, added two round-top divided-light windows, closed-cell foam insulation, oak floors, custom lighting and rigging points for aerial silks. Finally, we completely revamped the landscaping, creating gardens and natural secluded spaces for relaxation and play.
